Where's the Best Place to Mine for Gold in Bdo

Summary

There are many places to mine in The Wild West, each with their own varying ores and Pickaxes needed to mine them. This page is a list of those places along with their links for further detail and an accurate list of the ores that can be found in them.

Copper Gulch Mine

Copper Gulch Mine is a mine near Bronze City with many common ores, a Train Station, and a Safe Zone for Citizens. A total of 18 Coal Ores, 22 Copper Ores, 4 Zinc Ores, and 3 Iron Ores can be found within the mine, with a majority of the ores residing in the deeper cavern or in the shafts leading to it. These numbers include a few ores found on the surface. This mine has the most ores out of any other.

Forest Cavern

Underneath the Tribal Camp and the north section of Tribal Forest, there is maze of tunnels known as the Forest Cavern. These caves have 2 Bears within them, and a total of 3 Coal Ores, 16 Zinc Ores, 14 Iron Ores, 2 Silver Ores, and 10 Gold Ores can be found here.

Red's Lumberyard

Red's Lumberyard is a Sawmill found near Silvertown. There are 5 Coal Ores behind the blast furnace.

Silvertown River

Just downstream from Silvertown lie 1 Silver Ore and 2 Gold Ores.

Ruined Fort

A total of 4 Iron Ores can be found just to the west of the Fort, at the base of the hill that it sits on.

"Silver Hills"

Not to be confused with the old Silver Hill, these small ridges have a total of 7 Copper Ores and 5 Silver Ores on them. They are to the north and south of the river that flows through Tribal Forest, and both are just to the north of the Ruined Fort and to the south of Tribal Camp.

Little Rock Reservation

Up on a cliff overlooking the waterfalls are 4 Coal Ores and 1 Silver Ore. However, one of the Coal Ores cannot be mined.

Abandoned Cabin

Right next to the Abandoned Cabin is a small boulder with 2 Coal Ores, 1 Copper Ore, and 1 Silver Ore.

Ashburn Prison Camp

Ashburn Prison Camp is a work camp located between Tribal Forest and The Great Plains. Players with a bounty over $750 dollars will be sent here after an arrest to mine coal for 5 minutes. 19 coal deposits can be found here. These deposits are reserved for prisoners and cannot be mined by normal players.

Raider Canyons Mine

Underneath a vast majority of Raider Canyons lies a cave system. It contains 5 coal nodes, 4 iron nodes, and 4 zinc nodes. Two of these iron nodes can be found in a crevice near one of the entrances.

Lake Cave

This is one of the smaller mining spots, as only 2 gold nodes can be found here. However, it is a decent hiding spot, as there are 3 entrances: one along the edge of Raider Canyons with a rope leading directly into it, and two in the large lake. Its submerged tunnels are deadly, as there are a total of 6 or more Geralds within them. Its entrances can be found southeast of Raider Canyons and north of the Swamp.

Water Cavern

The Water Cavern is a massive mine found near the lake in Pinewood Hills. Its entrances lead into large caverns, with a Gator and a Gerald. The cavern contains a total of 4 Coal Ores, 2 Iron Ores, 10 Silver Ores, and 12 Gold Ores. It is generally considered to be the best mine in the game.

Buffalo Ridge

Buffalo Ridge has 5 Coal Ores, 2 Iron Ores, and 1 Gold Ore. The ores are located on the south side of the mountain in Pinewood Hills. There is a Bear nearby, so be cautious.

Desert Mine

Right on the border of Raider Canyons, Bear Paw Valley, and The Great Desert is the Desert Mine. This location only has 2 entrances, both very close to each other: a mine shaft in the Great Desert, and a small camp in Bear Paw Valley which has a ladder going down. There are 5 copper nodes, 3 iron nodes, and 2 silver nodes. It also had an underground lake in the southernmost chamber, with 5-8 Geralds.

The Temple of the Egg

On Whispering Summit, just above the Egg Temple, 3 Iron Ores, 1 Silver Ore, and 1 Gold Ore can be found.

The "Great Crack"

Located in The Great Plains, this is somewhat of a maze of a hill with 3 different entrances, and 2 different exits near the top. These exits open up into ledges above the crevice. 6 copper and 3 zinc nodes can be found here.

Great Plains River

A total of 10 Limestone deposits are found at the western end of the river separating the Great Plains and Pinewood Hills.

The Quarry

The Quarry is a Limestone mine in The Great Desert. It can be found to the southeast of Fort Spencer. There are 14 Limestone deposits.

Whispering Summit Ice Ravines

On Whispering Summit's northern face lies a system of crevices through the snow-covered rock. The canyons have 2 Iron Ores, 1 Silver Ore, and 1 Gold Ore. There is an additional Iron Ore and Silver Ore just to the south, at the mountain's peak.

Sinner's Canyon

Found in the Highlands to the northwest of Puerto Dorado, these mines consist of a few shafts and a main canyon with equipment and tents. The canyon only has 4 coal nodes, 3 zinc nodes, and 2 iron nodes.

Ancient Descent

This tunnel leading to the gates of the Forest of Bones has 2 Coal Ores and 2 Silver Ores inside.
